We understand that families on our platform come from all sorts of backgrounds and sizes. No two families are the same, and Chime sitters will do all that they can to provide the best sitting possible for every family they work with.
Below, we've provided a few tips to help set your sitter up for success:
- Communicate: With Chime's messaging feature, connect with your sitter prior to the sitting and review needs and expectations. Is there a sleep schedule to review? Feeding rules or limitations? Any special asks or preferences? Going over anything like this prior to the sitting will ensure the best sitting possible. We also recommend providing your sitter with contact information, including an emergency contact if they cannot get ahold of you.
- Tidy up: This is probably the first time your sitter will be at your home. It's good practice to tidy up your home before your sitter arrives. This helps them navigate your home easily while they provide great childcare in an organized and clean environment.
- Say goodbye: At the end of the sitting, touch base with your sitter. Ask how everything went, and then part ways. Briefly catching up with your sitter at the end of the sitting will ensure that you have received all necessary information, and hey – it's also just good manners :)
