We definitely understand that there are circumstances (illness, family emergency, etc.) where you’ll need to cancel a booking. While cancellations create a poor parent experience and negatively affects other sitters, we understand that there may be times when it’s unavoidable. However, minimizing cancellations is critical for your own reputation and the perception of Chime sitters as a reliable source of childcare.
If you need to cancel a booking, please do so as soon as you know, to provide the most amount of time to help find replacement care for a parent. Make sure to immediately remove any upcoming availability if you're not free anymore during those times. If your calendar says you're free, you can get booked any second.
Please note, that if you cancel with less than 2 hours notice, this will be considered a no-show.

What if I am sick?
Please contact us and let us know as soon as you are sick and can not attend. We definitely don’t want you to sit for children if you are under the weather. Our expectations assume sitters get sick too!
If you need to cancel multiple bookings in a 24 hour period due to illness, it will only be counted as a single cancellation.
